Hands-on Experience Solidifies Fifth Graders’ Interests in Medical Careers
Through a collaborative partnership with the UMMC medical school, our fifth grade students have been making real-world connections between the science lessons provided by the teachers and the instruction from the medical school personnel. The trip started at the top, so to speak – the rooftop of the hospital ![]() ![]() Students gained a wealth of knowledge during the UMMC visit. Those who aspire to join the medical field deepened that desire, and those who may not have considered the medical field are now reconsidering!
