Davis Students are “Ready to Run”
Since August students in kindergarten through fifth grade have participated in the “Get Ready to Run” physical education program sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi. The physical education program introduced students to the benefits of being active, teaching them just how fun running and healthy living can be. Students learned how to warm-up properly for running, the importance of good running form, pacing to run longer distances, and how to set running goals.
Through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program, Davis Magnet School strives to meet the diverse needs of each student – physical, social, intellectual – through learning experiences that are engaging, relevant, challenging, and significant.
